The Right Equipment Makes a Difference
At iMold we train our techs on the latest, most efficient equipment for removing mold from your space. Of course every situation is unique, but we know what to use when. Using the right equipment for your specific mold can make all the difference.
We use a large variety of equipment designed to remove mold. Some machines eradicate mold from the air and some remove mold from fabric or drywall. The bulk of the mold removal relies on labor and hands on cleaning. We remove all the affected material in one of two ways. We either remove it from the home completely or we clean it with antimicrobial. But the air in your home holds far more mold spores than your walls, floors, or cabinets. We set up air scrubbers to remove mold spores from the air.
Air Scrubbers do what their name implies. They scrub the air free of bacteria or in this case, mold. We make sure to direct the air coming from the exhaust of the air scrubber outside. We do this to make sure the contaminated air does not re-contaminate the cleaned space.
Air scrubbers are one of many essential pieces of equipment iMold uses. We also use HEPA vacuums to vacuum everything in the mold affected zone. HEPA vacuums remove small particles from any surface. They are much stronger than a regular vacuum.
What to Expect During your Mold Remediation
Remediation can be an unnerving time. Knowing you will have large pieces of equipment scattered throughout your home can be stressful. Our process also often includes some level of demolition. Demo can make day to day activities more difficult. But knowing what to expect can help ease some stress.
One thing many people do not consider during remediation is the need to leave your home. If your mold problem is extensive, it is not safe to stay. When we remediate, it will put more spores into the air before it is all removed. If you need to leave during the process, we will tell you as soon as possible. We know that hearing it is not safe to be in your house is scary. But don’t worry! Think of it as a small vacation while we take care of all the details.
Before we decide anything, we always complete a visual inspection of you home. After the inspection we send you an estimate. Once you approve our scope of work, the remediation begins.
We build a containment around the mold affected area. This prevents mold from entering any unaffected areas in your home. Once our air scrubbers are set up within the containment to begin removing spores. We create negative air when we place air scrubbers in the containment. The negative air forces all air out of the contained area.
After we use antimicrobial solution and all the necessary equipment, we inspect again. Often, we use a third party mold assessment company. They complete an indoor and outdoor air quality test. If the spore count per cubic meter is less inside than it is outside, your home or commercial building in Cape Coral is mold free!
